Before the first class...


This was the final one of my second project in Foundation studies, the key word of my work was Functional Modernism and this also inspired by the some works from the Functional Modernism. I tired to express a sense of energy in the square like putting them on the diagonal of the cardboard.

This is the Beijing Daxing International Airport. It completed its first flight mission on January 22nd. This airport is designed by Zaha one of the famous designers in the world. Upon completion, it will become the largest single terminal in the world, surpassing Dubai world center and Istanbul international airport in Turkey. The airport designed like phoenix spreading its wings, this idea is different from other airports.

That was the photograph which I took in 21st of November in 2018. At that time, I was preparing to fly to Melbourne with my parents at the airport in Sydney, and then I saw this sky when I turned around casually. Then I quickly took this scene with my mobile phone. After I took this photo, the sky became dark. It seems that a lot of good things will be fleeting but maybe architecture will not.

EXP2-Images from Lumion-1 (Concept about light)

The whole structure following the concept: different high and direction to "TOUCH" the light. Explain: Light is the most common environment, it exists all the time, and it changes every moment. When we mentioned Australia, the first thing that came to mind was the sun. We can appreciate the shape of the building, reach out and touch the material, and use the body to experience the size of the space. Only the light, the touchless and the ever-changing, can only rely on feelings
